Surviving Deployment: A guide for military families by Karen Pavlicin has been a staple for military families in all branches since 2003. This comprehensive guide to deployment will soon be updated with new stories and more information in a second edition. Pavlicin is looking for volunteers to provide input. Service members, spouses, and parents are all encouraged.

Volunteers will receive a copy of the current book and a survey. You'll be asked to mark up the book based on the survey and provide input on changes and updates for the second edition. You'll also have the opportunity to share your own personal experience if you wish (not required). You'll be asked to sign a simple permission agreement, including the option to use your real name or a pseudonym. You'll have the option to have your name listed in the acknowledgments and will receive five complimentary copies of the new edition when it is published.

If you are interested, please contact the author directly at kmp@karenpavlicin.com. Please include "SD 2nd edition" in the subject of your email and include your name, branch of service, mailing address and phone number, and relationship to the military (service member, spouse, parent of service member, support professional).

This is a great way to share what you've learned with other military families!
