>May 23, 2005 -- The National Guard Family Readiness Group in Brainerd, MN will host a Surviving Deployment workshop for spouses, parents, and friends of Minnesota-based National Guardsmen currently deployed to Iraq on Saturday June 18, 2005 at the Brainerd Armory.
The energizing, interactive workshop will be led by national speaker Karen Pavlicin, author of Surviving Deployment: A guide for military families. Known for her sense of humor, practical ideas, and inspiring perspective, Karen will share her experiences as a military wife and mom in this information-packed day.
The event cost is $10, however the FRG will cover the cost for individuals who cannot afford it. All participants will receive a copy of the book Surviving Deployment: A guide for military families. Lunch is provided. RSVP to Shannon Siekas, 7065 Forthun Road , Baxter , MN 56425 by June 1, 2005.
